Choosing the right school for your children can be difficult. The Masters family weighed many factors as their oldest approached Kindergarten and looked into several different options. Lauren Masters says that things changed when they walked into Denver Christian: “We knew the school was special and could feel how God was working there.”
Why choose Denver Christian?
The Masters family prioritized an environment where their children were developed as individuals. The Masters family wanted “to find a school that would not only provide an excellent education but would partner with us in nurturing our kids’ unique gifts, helping to grow their faith and character…” Since starting, they have been impressed by how Denver Christian educators “truly strive to know your child, meet them where they are at, and personalize and teach to the strength of each student.” Teachers at Denver Christian know each student and see them as a whole person. “It is such a gift that our students are being prayed for by their teachers and are not getting lost in the mix!” Lauren says. She adds that the school as a whole provides opportunities for the whole child to build character, faith, student leadership, and critical thinking skills. This is evident through daily rhythms, enrichment opportunities in the arts, sports, STEM, etc.
What is the impact of faith-filled education?
The Masters family also wanted an environment where their students would grow in their Christian faith. Lauren notes how her children have “grown in the knowledge of God’s story and talk constantly about how much God loves them and they can trust Him.” She adds that they encounter the Bible and scripture in Bible classes but that the framework of faith is woven into all areas. “Their teachers pray for them, their friends care for them, they witness older kids walking out of their faith. They experience repeatedly throughout the day that Jesus loves them and that they are created on purpose for a purpose.” Thinking of families contemplating attending Denver Christian, Lauren says: “I would tell them to not hesitate – it’s hands down the best parenting decision we have ever made! “
