Whether you’re new to Denver Christian or have been here for many years, we value your presence in our school community and welcome you to connect with other parents and families. We invite you to enjoy a parents’ night out and explore our many volunteer opportunities!

Volunteering Makes a Difference!

At Denver Christian School we believe that our partnership with families is based on working together. As a parent-run school, we rely on the gifts, talents, and dedication of our parent volunteers to help with nearly every aspect of school life, from the classroom and athletic fields to the board room. In return, parent volunteers get to know the Denver Christian staff, families, and students while having a lot of fun!

Before volunteering at Denver Christian…

To ensure the safety of our students, all volunteers are required to complete a background check prior to volunteering, and every three years after that.   Click the button below to complete your background check online.

When we serve together, we’re creating a culture of community and support for our students.  We strongly encourage every DC family to volunteer 20 hours to our school community throughout the year, and there’s opportunities that you can choose that  fit your interests, skills, and schedule.

Please contact Julie Lamsma at with any Background Check questions.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

We have a variety of ongoing volunteer opportunities requested by teachers, our Parent Association and Booster Club, and more! Click the button below for a full list of our volunteer opportunities and to sign up!

Parent Association

The Denver Christian Parent Association promotes community among families and provides support for staff and students. Some of the fun community events hosted by the PA include Fall Festival, Daddy Daughter Dance, Staff Appreciation and Morning with Moms.  Connect with other families by volunteering for Parent Association events and committees.  We encourage every family to get involved! Click the Volunteer Sign Up button above for a list of these opportunities.

Buddy Families

We want to make sure all our students and families feel welcomed and part of the community here, particularly our new students/families. When a family is new to Denver Christian, we assign a ‘Buddy Family’ to help with the transition of starting a new school and becoming part of the greater school community. New students are paired with a ‘Buddy Student’ who is in his/her homeroom in order to help make the transition to a new school as smooth as possible. Buddy families are encouraged to connect outside of school hours (meet up for coffee or at a park, etc.), introduce new families to other DC families, invite to various DC events, etc. in an attempt to build community and strengthen relationships among our families.

The Denver Christian Booster Club promotes and supports our Fine Arts and Athletics programs through fundraising events and concession stand sales. All DC parents are invited to join the Booster Club! We are currently seeking officer positions in the Booster Club. Click here to read more and sign up.
