Elementary

Students in Kindergarten-8th grade can audition for the annual K-8 musical, a DC community highlight complete with elaborate sets, costumes, and choreography. Multiple rehearsals are held each week after school in preparation for the final performance.

Additionally, all students have opportunities to practice their performing skills.  Whether it be speaking in chapel, performing poetry, performing skits, hosting the Thunder News, performing in the community, or being in a musical, students in grades preschool – 5th grade develop confidence using their gifts and talents!  Students perform for our annual Grandparents Day, Winter Performance, or Spring Performance.

Middle School

From monthly middle school elective classes offered during the day, to the spring middle school play, and also the spring K-8 musical, our middle school students can explore a variety of skits, plays, and musical genres. Middle schoolers also can select to participate in the spring musical as part of the technical team including stage crew, sound, costuming, and lighting.

High School

The high school produces two performances each year:  the fall play and the spring musical. From comedies, to dramas, to full-length musicals complete with professional costumes, sets, and choreography, our students perform with excellence. Technical elements including stage crew, sound, costuming, and lighting are equally important and offered to all students as well. Past productions include Beauty and the Beast, Bedtime Stories, Anastasia, and more.
