From Michael’s Desk

Head of School

As we begin May, no doubt our attention will soon turn to the future, closing out this school year and looking to the next.  But before we do, I want to share my deep gratitude for each of you who participated in our auction earlier in April.  It was truly a spirited night where our community’s support of Denver Christian was in full force.

2026 Auction

By all milestones, this year’s auction surpassed every record in our school’s history. We increased the totals by 20% from last year and, for the first time ever, crossed the $600,000 mark of net proceeds (after expenses) and, in total dollars raised well over the $700,000 mark. These numbers are not simply a testament to a fun evening. They are a testament to something far deeper: a community that believes in committing together to the work of Christian education.

The funds raised at the auction flow directly into our Loyalty Fund. This fund bridges the $1,800-per-student gap between the tuition we charge and the cost of educating a student at Denver Christian.  Your generosity will help us keep Denver Christian among the most affordable PreK–12 schools in the Denver metro area, and enable us to do this while pursuing world-class opportunities for our students.

future high school building

The records broken at this year’s auction come at a defining moment for Denver Christian. As we begin a capital campaign for the future high school and, by God’s grace, are praying earnestly for the funds to be able to move in during 2027-2028 school year, the health of our Loyalty Fund has never been more important.

So thank you. To every auction winner, every paddleraiser, every sponsor, every volunteer who set up tables and stayed to break them down, every family who invited a friend, every teacher who donated their time and talent — I am grateful. By God’s grace, we did something that will ripple far beyond one remarkable evening. God has been faithful to Denver Christian for more than 110 years. I trust he will continue to be in this next chapter as well.
