Worshipping together is one of our core practices at Denver Christian School, and it’s one that we continue to engage in while distance learning. For our Easter Chapel, we put together a special morning of “Easter Stations” for families to experience together in their homes. Following an all-school chapel together on Zoom, families were invited to extend their time of worship as a family through these virtual Easter Stations.

5th Graders Read Scripture
Enjoy this fun and creative scripture reading (thanks to Mrs. Olson and Mrs. Barrientos for organizing this)! Look for the challenge at the end of their video to share Easter with your neighbors. This challenge is so inspiring and I can’t wait to do one of our own with my family!
Painting an Easter Landscape
Mrs. Mansfield (our elementary Art teacher) has recorded herself painting a beautiful Easter landscape, showing how art is a form of worship. Talk about using her God-given gifts… she creates this in 18 minutes, encouraging each of us in our own lives as creative beings! Use this as a starting point for your family to also do an Easter art activity (see Mrs. Mansfield’s art webpage, Glorifying God, for inspiration and examples!).
Preschoolers Sharing from their Wordless Book
Get ready for cuteness overload here! Mrs. Maggie and Mrs. Brittany’s preschoolers tell the Easter story in their own words.
Christ the Lord is Risen Today
If you’re like me, it’s not Easter unless I get to sing this song! Years we’ve not sung it live in church, I’ve gone home singing it in the car 🙂 This is a fun, engaging rendition of the song (with some fun instruments) on youtube. I’ll be surprised if any of you can get through the song without joining in and singing! I was dancing and singing along at the end 🙂
Blessings to all of you. I pray you have a wonderful Easter weekend with your family.
