Encounter DCHS this September!

The transition from middle to high school is one of the most important milestones in a child’s school years. As students grow older, they begin thinking more about the future and leaning into the specific gifts that God has given them. We are excited to announce ENCOUNTER at Denver Christian, an evening for 7th and 8th grade students to consider their next steps to high school.

What is ENCOUNTER?

Encounter is a one-night event on September 28th. For a few hours, students will have a chance to learn about what life would be like at Denver Christian High School. Every attendee will have a personalized schedule for breakout groups to allow them to explore what is most important or interesting to them.

What breakout groups might I attend?

We will offer a variety of breakout sessions allowing students to get an overview of whatever is most important to them, including:

  • Performing Arts
  • Athletics
  • Admissions
  • Career Academies
  • College and Career
  • Spiritual Life

Students who have a particular activity in athletics or fine arts will also have a chance to hear more about those offerings, such as:

  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Cheer
  • Golf
  • Track and Field
  • Cross Country
  • Football
  • Baseball
  • E-Sports
  • Choir
  • Band – Symphonic or Jazz
  • Drumline
  • Orchestra Club
  • Drama
  • Musicals
  • Visual Arts (photography, graphic design, painting, sculpting, etc.)

We will also have an academic overview so that students can learn about our offerings in Sciences, Humanities, Languages, Technology, English, Mathematics, and other courses.

We encourage every student and family that is interested in thinking more about their transition to high school to register!
