GROW WITH US: THE DENVER CHRISTIAN CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
In 2013, God provided a beautiful new campus for Denver Christian School to use in accomplishing her mission. Renovations began immediately, and DC opened its new campus on September 2, 2014. A capital campaign was launched to help fund these renovations and new construction in order to provide students with excellent academic, athletic and fine arts facilities and opportunities.
The vital resources generously donated by many supporters during the first phase of Denver Christian’s Capital Campaign, “Lighting the Way”, helped us to transform our campus with new gymnasiums; computer, learning and science labs; beautiful playgrounds; innovative educational spaces; and our nearly-complete Athletic Fields complex. From the outset, we knew that reaching these initial goals would require unprecedented generosity and support from the entire Denver Christian community, and you came through in spectacular fashion to make it all happen. Thank you!
And so what is next? Your generosity enables us to enter into a new and final phase of our Capital Campaign that we’re calling “Grow With Us.” During this phase of the Campaign we seek to raise an additional $10 million.
What remains to be funded and completed are athletic fields (football/soccer/lacrosse, track, baseball), and a fine arts center and auditorium. Toward those ends and the excellent opportunities each provide students in light of our mission, the capital campaign continues raising support.
We built and opened the athletic fields complex in the 2016-2017 school year so that our students could use them NOW and reap the benefits of world-class athletic facilities for physical education and athletic competition. And so, we now hope to quickly pay the debt on those stellar fields.
The funds raised during the “Grow With Us” phase of the Capital Campaign will:
- Replace current financing in order to free-up funds to reinvest into Denver Christian
- Complete the Athletic Fields complex
- Complete Denver Christian’s first-ever dedicated Fine Arts Center and Auditorium
- Enhance educational spaces, curriculum, and student and staff programming
The fine arts center includes an auditorium that will seat over 400 people, with visual and audio excellence in all respects. This will be the first dedicated auditorium in the history of Denver Christian.
