The Foundation Board was formed for the benefit of Denver Christian’s endowment fund.
The DC Foundation provides several scholarships funded by Denver Christian supporters and welcomes and encourages all who would like to contribute to the growth of these scholarships and opportunities for DC students. These scholarships can and do support either current Denver Christian students or Denver Christian graduates.
Inspired. Equipped. Engaged Foundation Scholarships
The Foundation Board is excited to introduce a new scholarship. The Inspired. Equipped. Engaged. Foundation Scholarship is awarded to one young lady and one young man completing 8th grade at Denver Christian and continuing their education at Denver Christian High School.
Voted upon by the faculty of the Middle School, criteria for selection was based upon the students who best fulfill the mission of Denver Christian School and exemplify the student core competencies of Academic Excellence, Student Life Skills, Faith Formation, Community, and Communication.
The following scholarships are available to DCHS Seniors with plans to pursue certain studies in college.
Booth Education Scholarship
Eva Booth was a neighbor to DC Alumni Barb and Al Hogan. She was a longtime school teacher. When Eva died this scholarship was created in her name for a graduate who intends to pursue a career in education
Hogan Engineering Scholarship
Bonnie and Al Hogan were both graduates of Denver Christian School. Al was a civil engineer with his Masters Degree from CSU. He was on the DC School Board and was involved in the purchase of the land of the Highlands Ranch campus. In 1985, he was killed in an airplane accident. A scholarship was set up in memory of Al Hogan to be given to a student pursuing an engineering career.

Van Kooten Scholarship
Stuart and Sandi Van Kooten sent all their children to Denver Christian, and were very involved. He was a former baseball coach and Sandi served on the board. Sandi was an accountant, and she passed away from pancreatic cancer. In her honor, Stuart set up this scholarship to be given to a graduate pursuing a career in accounting.
Gil and Jeanette Deters loved attending DC sporting events. This scholarship was set up in their honor to support students in need of assistance.
