DCHS Girls Soccer are 2A State Champs!

20-4-1: DCHS Girls Soccer Roll over the Competition!

20-4-1. That’s the motto of the 2016-2017 girls soccer team at DC. Twenty players playing for (4) one team, playing together for Him, our one and only Lord and Savior. Let’s not confuse that with the team’s record, which was stellar: 4-0-0 in the League and 16-2-0 overall. The entire season was played with excellence: in sportsmanship, teamwork, skill, and coaching.

From practice to field play, this DC Thunder team rolled over the competition with a unstoppable finish in the 2A State Championship at Dick’s Sporting Good Park.

This was the first State championship appearance since 2005, and it didn’t disappoint.  The whole school turned out to send the team off to the final. That’s the awesomeness of a k-12 school, when younger kids can watch, participate and dream of their chance to play for DCHS, too. And then the crowd moved to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to watch the match-up with Dawson High School.
