“Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand” (1 Chronicles 29:14). King David praised God because God’s people gave generously to build God’s Temple. King David provided us with a model for Christian giving: We give from what God has already given to us.
Thank you, for your willingness to give generously to Denver Christian. We are so grateful for every gift, great and small. Jesus praised and highlighted even the smallest of gifts: “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on” (Luke 21:3-4). For Denver Christian to continue to fulfill her mission, she will need gifts both great and small. What a joy it has been for me to see and experience the generosity of those who support Denver Christian! I understand very well what David expresses later on in the same passage, and I join him in praising God for generous givers: “And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you” (1 Chronicles 29:17).
God bless you richly for your support as together we continue inspiring and equipping students to engage the world with Christ’s transforming power and love!
