Mission Statement

Denver Christian Schools inspires and equips children of Christian parents to engage the world with Christ’s transforming power and love.

Guiding Principles

Three key terms describe the Denver Christian Schools student and graduate.

  • The inspired student and graduate dreams God’s dreams for him/herself, others, and the world.
  • The equipped student and graduate learns and applies God’s truth in every arena of life.
  • The engaged student and graduate does God’s work, bringing Christ’s transforming power and love to the exciting work of helping to heal a broken world.

Philosophy of Education

Every school has a worldview, a starting point that dictates not only what it teaches, but how that content is taught. This worldview influences and shapes children in a myriad of often-subtle, but nevertheless critically important ways.

It is vital, therefore, that a school be clear about the perspective that shapes its approach to education and on the basis of which it will teach, guide, and nurture the children it is privileged to serve.

In January 2011, Denver Christian Schools adopted Teaching and Learning at Denver Christian Schools: Guiding Principles as an expression of our comprehensive approach to education.
