Tami Zietse

"We've so appreciated Mrs. Zietse the last two years. She has taught our son in two Seminar classes and has affirmed his contributions to the class in ways that have made him feel he has important gifts and perspectives. She's been creative with assignments and so many ways of making the classes enjoyable, engaging, and inspiring. It's clear she really cares about the kids and who they're becoming. She's a teacher who changes kids' lives."

Mrs. Zietse has been with Denver Christian Schools since 1990. "Grabbing" students’ interests in a variety of ways, with a variety of experiences, is something that Ms. Zietse loves to do. She equips students by preparing them to write well, read well, and think deeply; not only through exploring specific stories, books or techniques, but also by providing strategies that can be applied to life. She inspires students by asking them to find themselves and the world around them in the pages of a book. Providing meaningful feedback on student writing can take a lot of time, but it is a value that Ms. Zietse holds high. She knows in order for students to be engaged, they must participate in their own learning and discover their own answers. By actively including students in the process of learning, it becomes more meaningful and ultimately more memorable. In her free time, Mrs. Zietse is an avid reader and loves to sing with her church praise team.
