Mr. Meyer’s goals as a teacher include helping students grow in faith as they are exposed to the wonderful complexity of God's creation and to help them understand their calling to care for Creation. He knowingly sets a high bar for the amount of information and skills students possess when they finish his classes. Though challenging, he hopes that students get past saying, "this is hard" to "this is really interesting." Mr. Meyers challenges those students gifted with a mind that can grasp the more difficult materials to see their responsibility to use those talents to honor and serve God. Some may be become doctors, nurses or scientists, but the majority will use what they have learned to live responsibly, be good citizens, to serve their neighbors and to be good stewards of God's creation. A majority of Mr. Meyer’s classes are not textbook driven, but are hands on in the lab or in the “field”. When not teaching, you might find Mr. Meyer in his garden or planning his next trip abroad.
