Ms Steketee was born and raised in Holland, MI and attended Holland Christian High School. Upon graduation she made the transition to Calvin College and walked with a B.A. in Physical and Health Education. While at Calvin Lynae was a member of both the women's soccer and basketball teams. Most everything adventurous, active, outdoors, or a combination, usually keeps her interest. She specifically enjoys team sports, cycling, hiking, climbing, and traveling. Lynae is an avid Michigan Wolverines fan, and enjoys following the Detroit Tigers as well. In the fall of 2012 Lynae moved out to Denver and opened a small wellness business. She began to substitute teach at Denver Christian. This past school year she has had the privilege of coaching within the girls basketball and soccer programs at DC and look forward to continuing involvement with athletics. Her desire to work with students to create an environment where all students feel they belong. Lynae wishes to cultivate the desire in students to get to know themselves and each other authentically. It is her prayer that this authenticity results in a greater respect for the people and world around them, as well as a foundation for a more intimate relationship with our creator. Lynae says it has been a blessing to be involved at DC the last three school years, and she looks forward to continuing to develop relationships within the DC community.
