Russ Haman is a Colorado native. He has been married for 20 years and has two daughters. He graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Health and Physical Education degree. He has been deeply rooted in the game of volleyball for over 25 years. He successfully competed at high levels of the game and is currently starting his eighth year as a head high school volleyball coach. Since 2008, Coach Haman’s teams have made the playoffs every year. Many of his players have earned All-League and All-State Honors. In 2012, his team at Elizabeth High School finished League Champions. In 2013, his team ended up finishing in the Final-Four at the State Tournament. Between 2012 and 2013 Coach Haman’s program had a 51 and 7 record. In 2014, his Elevation Volleyball Club 14-1’s team finished in the top 20. In 2015, Coach Haman led the Denver Christian team to the Regional Playoffs. On a personal level, Coach Haman has received All-League Coach of the Year honors three times. In 2012, he was chosen to coach the 4A All-State Team for the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports Association, and in 2013, he was selected to coach the All-State Team for the Colorado High School Coaches Association (CHSCA). Also in 2013-2014, he was elected to be the President of Volleyball operations for (CHSCA).
